I tried a website before and it did nothing. Why would this be different?

The last page often failed the phone test, or it opened and offered no next step. A different result needs a different page, not a different hope. I will not promise a lift.

The last page often failed because it never arrived on a phone, or it arrived and gave a stranger nothing to do. A different result needs those two jobs done, not a new slogan. I will not tell a gym in Dwarka or a coaching centre in Laxmi Nagar that a second site invents members.

Will a website bring more customers already refuses a lift. This page is about why the first try felt dead, and what I will still refuse to promise.

What “did nothing” usually was

Open the old URL if it still lives. First visit, mid range phone, mobile data.

  • Still a spinner past three seconds. People leave after three seconds. The last spend bought a wait.
  • A slider, a stock smile, no fee, no batch time, no trial rule. Visitors but no enquiries is that empty arrival.
  • A form that mailed a dead inbox. They wrote. Nobody saw it.
  • Ads pointed at that URL. The spend was real. The landing was the leave.

Why the website is slow on mobile is the clinic set I timed: 8.8s, 2.4 MB, PageSpeed 54 in the middle. The sample I built: 1.7s, 89 KB, Lighthouse 100. I will not claim your old gym page sat at 8.8s. Weigh that URL. If it already opens in about three seconds and they could book, the hole was never the theme.

Two second tries, still without a promised lift

A coaching centre off Laxmi Nagar Metro had a first site that was a slider and a stock smile. Parents asked for batch times on WhatsApp anyway. A second site only helps if the first screen states the batch and a write lands where the counsellor already looks. I will not tell them the second invoice adds admissions. I will tell them whether the old URL still fails the wait, the fee, or the write.

A gym off Papankalan pointed ads at a theme that took a wait longer than they will sit on 4G. They called that “the website did nothing”. The ads did something. They sent people into a wait. A second theme that still weighs like that set of nine clinic pages will do nothing again. Fewer files can change the wait. They cannot invent a busy road.

If the old URL already opens in about three seconds and is light, and a stranger could book, I will tell you not to pay me for another page. The second try is then the listing, the reply, or the road. Hope is not a deliverable I put on an invoice.

What would actually be different

A NexBuilt website has to pass the same phone test you are asked to run. Floor Rs 30,000 on pricing. Usually under two weeks for a site. Those are the published bars. They are not a promise that parents will write.

Different, if the last page failed the wait: fewer files. Different, if the last page hid the fee: the fee on the first screen. Different, if the form died: a write that lands where you already look, often WhatsApp.

Same, if the road is quiet: a fast page on a quiet road is still a quiet road. I will say that in the meeting.

Why I will not sell you hope

You already paid once. A second invoice that sounds like a guarantee is how shops get burned twice. I will compare the old URL to the three lines above. If all three already pass, I will tell you not to buy another page from me.

If the old URL is gone, bring a screenshot or the quote. A theme name and a laptop preview is not evidence the stranger could book.

Downsides of trying again

You will spend again. You will still have to keep hours true. You may keep the same domain and still confuse people if the listing points at a dead path.

You may also learn the first page was fine and the listing was the hole. Then a rebuild is the waste. Check the pin before you pay.

What I need from the first try

The live URL or an archive. Who holds the domain and the host. What you were told it would do. What you counted after it went live, if you counted anything.

If you counted nothing, start a week of marks before we talk about a second build: how many people asked for the URL, how many said it would not open, how many wrote and heard silence. Those marks are yours. I will not invent them.

desk hours stay, Monday through Saturday.

What to do before you sign a second quote

Run the old URL through the three lines. Write pass or fail on each.

Bring that scorecard. I will say the second page is the job, the listing is the job, or the first page already did the job and another invoice is the mistake.

The ones people actually ask.

Will you guarantee more enquiries than the last site?

No. I will not name a lift. I will say whether this URL fails the wait, the fee, or the write, and stop there.

Was the last developer a fraud?

Often no. They shipped a theme that looked finished on a laptop. The stranger was on 4G.

Should I keep the old URL?

Keep the name if you still hold it. The files behind it can change. Ask who can log into the host before you pay anyone.
