How to get your clinic to show up when someone searches dentist near me
What Google actually says about local results, and what a clinic in Delhi NCR can do without buying a promised rank.
Google’s local ranking page ranks nearby searches, including “dentist near me”, on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot pay for a better local rank, and anyone who promises you the map pack is selling a thing that page says it does not sell.
What a dental clinic in Delhi NCR can do is finish a verified profile that honestly represents the door, then make sure the page they tap actually opens. NexBuilt builds that website. I do not sell a rank.
What Google actually says
Google’s own page on local ranking names three things. Relevance is how well the profile matches what someone typed. Distance is the road between the chair and the person searching. How well known the place is, including reviews, is the third signal, and they keep the rest of that mix unpublished.
That last sentence is the honest one. They keep the rest of the algorithm confidential. I will not fill the gap with a trick I invented.
On that same page they also write that you cannot pay for a better local rank. If a shop in South Delhi is quoting you a “page one package” for Maps, they are not quoting Google’s product. They are quoting a hope.
If the listing itself is missing, or the pin is on the wrong block, start with why you are not showing on Google Maps. This page is for the clinic that already has a profile and wants to know what “show up” actually means.
Honest representation, one profile
Google’s guidelines ask you to represent the business as it is recognised in the real world. One profile per business. An accurate address. The name on the signage, not a name stuffed with “best dentist Green Park cheap whitening”.
Two profiles for one chair is how listings fight each other. A virtual office you do not sit in is how profiles get suspended. A category that is not what you do is how the wrong searches find you, and the right ones do not.
Complete the hours, including the Saturday you actually close. Put the phone that a person or an assistant will answer. Add the category that matches the door. Verify the profile so you can edit the name and the hours.
None of that is a rank purchase. It is the minimum so the listing is about the clinic that exists.
A closer clinic can still win
Someone standing in Green Park Market types dentist near me. Your profile can be complete, verified, and full of reviews. A clinic two streets closer can still win on distance. Google said distance is one of the three. I will not talk around that.
You cannot move the door. You can stop making the other two factors worse. A half filled profile is a relevance problem you chose. Last year’s hours are a popularity problem you also chose, because people who walk up to a shut door write the review that follows you.
I will not tell you that finishing the profile puts you above the clinic on the next block. I will tell you that an incomplete profile is an own goal, and that a closer chair is still allowed to win.
What the site is for after they tap
The listing gets you the tap. The website is what they open next. If that page takes a wait longer than they will sit on a mid range phone, they go back and tap the next pin. People leave after three seconds.
Showing up is wasted if the next tap is a 2.4 MB theme. The set I measured sat at 8.8s and 54. The sample clinic page I built opened at 1.7s, weighed 89 KB, and scored 100. A clinic that “shows up” and then serves that weight did not finish the job. It lost them after Google did its part.
The site has to say what you do, match the address on the listing, and give them a way to book or write. Whether you need a website or the Google listing is enough is the other half of this. The listing without a page that opens is a pin that dumps people.
If they do write or call, someone has to answer. How a dental clinic stops missing patient calls is that week. A rank you cannot buy is useless if the phone rings through a filling and nobody picks up.
What I will not sell you
I will not sell you a guaranteed slot for dentist near me. Google said you cannot pay for that.
I will not invent a percentage lift from “optimising your Maps”. I have not run your clinic, and I will not borrow a number from a blog that also invented it.
I will not tell you a more expensive site buys a better pin. A site that opens is a site they can use after they find you. The pin is the profile, the door, and the three factors Google named.
A working site for a small business in Delhi NCR starts at Rs 30,000 on the pricing page. That is a floor for the page they open, not a fee for the map.
If the profile is a mess, fix the profile first. If the profile is honest and the page still loses the tap, get in touch. Bring the listing and the URL. We will open both on a phone and I will say which of the two is the hole.
